The leaves are starting to turn and I’ve returned to my boots and jumper collection and that only means one thing… Autumn is definitely approaching! I really love autumn for similar reasons to why I love spring so much. They are the seasons where you see change. A change in colours, a change in life and a change of temperature. It’s not too cold in England yet but another week or so and I think it will start getting chilly. In spring life is created and in autumn that is all taken away bit by bit. I was walking home from work last week when I realised I was walking over golden leaves and was surrounded by conkers ‘oh hello autumn, nice to see you’.
I also love the food that comes with the season. The warming comfort food returns (my favourite). Hedge rows become full of blackberries and cooking apples are falling every where. I also had custard the other day for the first time in ages!! I love custard. Im sure soup and chunky bread will return to the menu soon too. There is something about that kind of food that warms your insides.
Im looking forward to getting the camera back out this season as life kind of got in the way during the past few weeks. I love all of the spider webs covered in jew and all of the golden colours. I mean summer is still trying to hang on by the edges of it’s fingers but autumn is gradually winning.
Let me know in the comments if you would like to see some more autumnal posts?
Thanks again,
Little Mayfly x
Autumn is my favorite season! Love everything about it. The colors, the clothing collections and the cosiness (and the pumpkin spice lattes at Starbucks :p ). Today it’s actually summer like weather here in The Netherlands haha. Would definitely love to see more autumnal posts 🙂 xx

I am so excited for fall. I just had a baby 6 months ago and I can’s wait to bring her outside when the leaves change.

Fall is my favourite season- the crispness of the air after the heavy heat of summer is so refreshing. We got married in the fall, it was beautiful.

It was – a little dark and a little cold for outside photos, but lovely for sure. 🙂

Really noticed the autumn colours for the first time today and now I’m excited for fall. Now I can start making soup and sit indoors for the day reading without feeling like I have to get outside and make the most of the day because it’s warm and sunny

Eeek! I love this post because I am just SOOO excited for Autumn too! Can’t wait to read about your fall adventures. I always feel like my feet get put back on the ground in the fall because summers are so chaotic and busy- so I love the routine and beauty of Autumn. Thanks for sharing, girl!
