Goodbye Little Mayfly…

So, you may have noticed ‘Little Mayfly Blog’ has turned into ‘Chloe May Blogs’. Over the past few weeks I have been thinking about rebranding my blog and finally decided to take the plunge. When I started blogging, I didn’t want anyone to know about it so took the undercover name of ‘Little Mayfly’. My middle name is May and bugs are cool, so it seemed to fit and worked well. Two years down the line and everyone now knows I blog, and I don’t feel ‘Little Mayfly’ is really me anymore. I’ve grown so much as a blogger and a person in the past two years it just doesn’t seem right anymore. I have mentioned a lot in some recent posts about not being into blogging in the past few months, so I feel the change was really needed.

This year I posted so many blog posts (around 100 ish +) but looking back at the past year I am only really happy with about 10% of those posts. I was turning out 3/4 posts a week at my highest this year and I have deleted most of them! I want to take more time to produce content I am actually proud of. I was using ‘in’ and popular tags or posts to fill out my blog and they were never posts that meant nothing to me. So from now on better quality posts, better information and better photographs will be a must for me.

So Goodbye Little Mayfly! It’s been a whirl! But here is to a better blog! Let me know your thoughts on the new layout, and any thoughts on any changes I could still make!

Thanks for hanging around!

  1. Hi there Chloe May, lovely name.
I also like the way you studied your own blog, it is good at times to rethink what and why. I have always wondered how so many can do up to one blog a day. Makes my head spin. πŸ˜ŠπŸ¦‹ .

  2. Hi Chloe May!
It is exciting that you have decided to continue blogging and took the plunge to rebrand. Sometimes we outgrow personas and identities that we have created and it is a sign of growth. I have gone through similar transitions and it is empowering to make these big bold changes. For the longest time I did not want people that I actively knew to know about my blog, but in this last year, I started being more open about my blog.
Happy New Year and keep up the wonderful blogging! I am looking forward to reading your posts and following you on your adventures.

  3. Congrats on the new direction/name with the blog! ❀ I am looking to sort of do the same at some point this year. Just to kind of organize things and revamp the looks of it, mostly. πŸ™‚ Looking forward to seeing lots of new and amazing posts from you! πŸ˜€
